Privacy policy

What is public

Your display name, the vehicle models you choose to make public (model, variant and year only), your Thanks and Views, and your public contributions. Plate numbers, conduction sticker numbers and documents are never public.

Private documents

OR/CR, proof of ownership and other vehicle documents are private. You can grant a specific member access to a specific document for a stated purpose until an expiry date, as view-only or downloadable, and revoke it for the future at any time. Revocation cannot recall a copy that was already downloaded. Frozen vehicles suspend all access to their documents, including access you granted earlier.

Ownership checks

Please redact proof documents (cover details not needed to show ownership). Reviewers see them only to verify ownership. If a plate or conduction number you enter is already registered, we never reveal who registered it; you can open a confidential case with an administrator.

Dashboard scans

Photos for Smart Dashboard Scan are private and temporary. They are deleted once you confirm the readings, or automatically when an unfinished scan expires.

Following and notifications

Following a member never opens their private records. You control optional notifications and may mute other members; security and essential account notices are always sent.

Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account. We remove or irreversibly anonymize your personal information, revoke your open sharing, and erase your private documents unless a documented legal hold applies. Vehicle-specific history (for example service entries) stays with the vehicle, and eligible public posts remain under the name "Deleted Member". Public content that still identifies you may be redacted or removed on request.

Payments

Vehicle sale payments, LTO transfers and event fees are handled outside BYDPH.org.

BYDPH.org is independent of BYD and its Philippine distributor.
